Hi, I’m Sarah, the face and hands (and all the other stuff in between!) behind Lettering By Skate. Welcome to my world of all things modern calligraphy, stationery and snail mail, thank you for dropping by.

I create stationery that is designed to encourage people to step away from the fast paced and impersonal world of digital communication and pick up a pen to write something by hand. I use calligraphy in my stationery and to create custom pieces designed to inspire, encourage and make you feel a little bit tingly inside. When I'm not dipping pen into ink and avoiding paper cuts you can find me at home in rural Surrey trying to find new and inventive ways to organise and store my ever-increasing collection of stationery, pens, notebooks and other craft related paraphernalia. Other loves include gin, musicals, reading, gardening, singing incredibly loudly in my car and watching every medical drama ever created....​​​
Who's Skate?

You may be wondering as to the lack of roller skates on the page? My full name is Sarah Kate, Sarah + Kate = Skate, simple maths, see? There is also a little song that accompanies the nickname but we'll save that for another day.
